About IncomeLookup

IncomeLookup answers one question well: what does an occupation pay in the United States?

The site covers 825 occupations across 22 fields. Each occupation page shows the median, the average, five percentiles and the equivalent hourly figures, then puts those numbers in context against the national median and against similar roles.

Where the numbers come from

Every wage figure is taken directly from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OEWS) program, May 2025 national estimates. We do not survey employers, estimate missing values or blend in other sources.

The complete source file and the script that converts it are part of the build, so any figure on the site can be traced back to the published release.

What the site is not

IncomeLookup is not a recruiter, an employer or a salary negotiator. It does not accept payments to feature an occupation, and it has no affiliate relationships that influence which numbers are shown.

Nothing here is career, financial or legal advice. National medians describe an occupation, not your offer.

Corrections

If a figure here disagrees with the BLS release, the BLS is right. Email hello@incomelookup.com with the occupation and the figure you believe is wrong and it will be checked against the source file.
